For 4.5 years, Susan Truppe represented London North Centre as your federal member of parliament. During that time, Susan was appointed Parliamentary Secretary for the Status of Women. She worked tirelessly on issues affecting women and girls, advocating the funding of many local organizations including infrastructure, arts, festivals, research, small business and multi-cultural groups. Just to name a few.
Susan has held multiple roundtable discussions involving constituents and local businesses to get feedback on trade, budgets, immigration, violence against women, and achieving greater equality for women in business. She and her staff handled thousands of local federal problems during that time.
Susan understands business, employing people, balancing budgets, and making tough decisions. Previously, she worked as Assistant General Manager and Director of Sales and Marketing at a large hotel and conference center for 16 years.
As an active member of our community and a London resident for over 37 years, Susan has always been involved in politics and served as a Director of Elgin-Middlesex-London Conservative Board, Vice-President of London-West Provincial Board. Susan is currently the Director of St. Joseph's Health Care Foundation Board.
